Benito Corderun charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Benito Corderun the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Cementerio Club getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Benito Corderun hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Tigre's zone, Ciro Weather stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rogelio Gaur came out of the goal and Ciro Weather tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 9 minutes into the game, Cementerio Club's Emilio Maureo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rogelio Gaur made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Tigre's Rogelio Gaur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romeo Handi in the 13th minute of play. Eriberto Benet's late challenge caught a Cementerio Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eriberto Benet helped the player get up and apologised. In the 14th minute, Eriberto Benet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcelo Dimas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eriberto Benet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Bernardino Dantel fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tigre's protests and gave Bernardino Dantel a yellow card for diving instead. After 27 played minutes Tigre got a freekick which was hit by Bernardino Dantel. In the 28th minute of the match Nicanor Araoz sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rogelio Gaur skillfully saved the ball. Tigre's Rogelio Gaur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romeo Handi in the 29th minute of play. The supporters of Tigre booed when Cementerio Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fidel Rico didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rogelio Gaur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romeo Handi in the 34th minute of play. Marcelo Dimas came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Tigre's Florentino Henric. But to his dismay, Florentino Henric quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Rogelio Gaur showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romeo Handi in the 40th minute of the match. After 42 minutes, Teofilo Virila mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tigre and the Cementerio Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Tigre getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Teofilo Virila hit a great ball. After 45 played minutes Cementerio Club got a freekick which was hit by Anibal Montae. Rogelio Gaur took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabio Marin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Cementerio Club booed when Tigre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teofilo Virila didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Teofilo Virila made a kick off. Charly García charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 55th match minute, Cementerio Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Charly García to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Cementerio Club's Nicanor Araoz got a free kick in the 56th minute. Eriberto Benet was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 57th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Marcelo Dimas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Florentino Henric in the 66th minute of play. Rogelio Gaur stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fabio Marin's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. Emilio Maureo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Rogelio Gaur tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 82 minutes into the match, Emilio Maureo notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Tigre's Rogelio Gaur. Rogelio Gaur was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fabio Marin got free with Rogelio Gaur in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice moves Fabio Marin could shoot a difficult shot in the 87th minute, which Rogelio Gaur however easily saved by the left post. In the 95th match minute, Tigre was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgardo Virila to maneuver through the defense. Cementerio Club played a much better game than Tigre and deserved their victory. The Tigre players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
