Spectators: 7511 (Terracing: 5634, Seating: 1727, VIP seats: 150) Airborne FC's Alexsandro Simões got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Osvaldinho Marquez came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by Airborne FC's Hélio Terra. But to his dismay, Hélio Terra quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Dudu Negri kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dênis Santos in the 11th minute of play forced Grêmio FBPA's goalkeeper Osvaldinho Marquez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 14 played minutes Grêmio FBPA got a freekick which was hit by Celso Mendes. Osvaldinho Marquez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexsandro Simões, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Osvaldo Santana hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Airborne FC's Hélio Terra couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 20th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Grêmio FBPA. Osvaldinho Marquez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexsandro Simões in the 21st minute of the match. 28 minutes into the match, Hélio Terra notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Grêmio FBPA's Osvaldinho Marquez. Osvaldinho Marquez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Airborne FC's Hélio Terra got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 36 minutes into the match, Hélio Terra had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Osvaldinho Marquez. Grêmio FBPA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hélio Terra was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. A collision led to Grêmio FBPA getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Celso Mendes hit a great ball. Osvaldinho Marquez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hélio Terra in the 44th minute of the match. In the 48th match minute, Airborne FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oswaldo Severo to maneuver through the defense. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Celso Mendes was the one to do the kick off. Silvinho Perez hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Osvaldinho Marquez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hélio Terra in the 53rd minute of the match. Osvaldinho Marquez was out of position in the 57 minute of play, and Hélio Terra capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Hélio Terra really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. With a little luck, Grêmio FBPA's Osvaldinho Marquez got control of the ball when Alexsandro Simões tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 62nd minute Hélio Terra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Osvaldinho Marquez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 68th minute, Grêmio FBPA's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Oswaldo Severo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. A collision led to Grêmio FBPA getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Silvinho Perez hit a great ball. 74 minutes into the match, Grêmio FBPA's goal looked a bit too open when Hélio Terra came free, but Osvaldinho Marquez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Osvaldinho Marquez had great luck who in the 75thth minute grab hold of the ball when Hélio Terra from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Grêmio FBPA's Osvaldinho Marquez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oswaldo Severo in the 77th minute of play. In the 78th minute of the match, Alexsandro Simões got a very nice opportunity to score, but Osvaldinho Marquez was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Osvaldinho Marquez came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Airborne FC's Hélio Terra. But to his dismay, Hélio Terra quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. Osvaldinho Marquez made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Alexsandro Simões sent off a good shot on target. In the 96th minute, Alexsandro Simões made a precise shot to the right of Osvaldinho Marquez. Grêmio FBPA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-6. Airborne FC played a much better game than Grêmio FBPA and deserved their victory. The Grêmio FBPA players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
