Sunkens Surtröjor's Helge Bäckström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tauras Bagūnas in the 6th minute of play. The supporters of Sunkens Surtröjor booed when Geležinis Vilkas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tauras Bagūnas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Helge Bäckström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adomas Bacys in the 13th minute of play. Helge Bäckström didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Adomas Bacys went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 23 minutes into the match, Geležinis Vilkas's goal looked a bit too open when Ingvar Waller came free, but Romualdas Karalius reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Helge Bäckström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jogaila Jameikis, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Malte Gerdberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Romualdas Karalius tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. William Eriksson lost his temper 43 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 42nd minute of the game. One of Sunkens Surtröjor:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Geležinis Vilkas:s goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Deimantas Valys stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Helge Bäckström didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Adomas Bacys went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. 57 minutes into the match, Sunkens Surtröjor's goal looked a bit too open when Valentas Bizauskas came free, but Helge Bäckström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 59 minutes into the game, Sunkens Surtröjor's Jesper Håkansson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Romualdas Karalius made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. Helge Bäckström yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-5. Helge Bäckström was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Deimantas Valys showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-6 in the 65 minute of play. 69 minutes into the game, Malte Gerdberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sunkens Surtröjor's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Geležinis Vilkas the free kick. In the 69th match minute, Sunkens Surtröjor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Malte Gerdberg to maneuver through the defense. With an all-out effort, Geležinis Vilkas's Helge Bäckström threw himself towards the right post 85 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Adomas Bacys, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Helge Bäckström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Deimantas Valys in the 86th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gabrielius Plakys during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Geležinis Vilkas's Gabrielius Plakys got a free kick in the 95th minute. The Geležinis Vilkas players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
