The referee ignored Geležinis Vilkas's protests and gave Valentas Bizauskas a yellow card for diving instead. Geležinis Vilkas's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Anastasios Valsamis 4 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. The supporters of O.T.E booed when Geležinis Vilkas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rimas Labutis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Louis Mavrostomos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romualdas Karalius having to interfere. Dimosthenis Tsalouchidis hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. After 29 played minutes O.T.E got a freekick which was hit by Nike Tavlaridis. After a defensive mix-up in O.T.E's zone, Jogaila Jameikis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nikos Tavlaridis came out of the goal and Jogaila Jameikis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as O.T.E's Michalis Kostetsos slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Romualdas Karalius. That made the score 2-0 after 32 minutes of play. In the 35thth minute of the game Deimantas Valys who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but O.T.E's Nikos Tavlaridis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 37th match minute, O.T.E was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Louis Mavrostomos to maneuver through the defense. Dimosthenis Tsalouchidis hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. After 43 minutes of play, Geležinis Vilkas's Deimantas Valys made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nikos Tavlaridis was left in no man's land by his defense there! Nikos Tavlaridis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Deimantas Valys, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Tauras Bagūnas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Michalis Kostetsos during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, O.T.E's Michalis Kostetsos got a free kick in the 63rd minute. With a little luck, O.T.E's Nikos Tavlaridis got control of the ball when Valentas Bizauskas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nikos Tavlaridis was out of position in the 75 minute of play, and Deimantas Valys capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Deimantas Valys really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. 80 minutes into the match, Geležinis Vilkas's goal looked a bit too open when Louis Mavrostomos came free, but Romualdas Karalius reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Deimantas Valys was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 81st minute. Geležinis Vilkas's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 84 minutes into the match, Adomas Bacys had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nikos Tavlaridis. O.T.E's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Adomas Bacys was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. Nikos Tavlaridis didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Geležinis Vilkas's Deimantas Valys shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-4 in the ordered_time% minute.
