A collision led to Bir Garip Oyun getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Hızır Samim hit a great ball. Abdulkadir Öğeturk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agne Isaksson in the 4th minute of play. Behçet Canol struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Helge Bäckström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bir Garip Oyun. The supporters of Sunkens Surtröjor booed when Bir Garip Oyun was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Behçet Canol didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Sunkens Surtröjor's Malte Gerdberg got a free kick in the 15th minute. The supporters of Sunkens Surtröjor booed when Bir Garip Oyun was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Behçet Canol didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Malte Gerdberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 22 played minutes Bir Garip Oyun got a freekick which was hit by Fadıl Işık. After 24 played minutes Sunkens Surtröjor got a freekick which was hit by Karl-Johan Lekberg. Jesper Håkansson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abdulkadir Öğeturk having to interfere. A collision led to Sunkens Surtröjor getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Ingvar Waller hit a great ball. Jesper Håkansson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Abdulkadir Öğeturk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abdulkadir Öğeturk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jesper Håkansson in the 44th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Agne Isaksson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Behçet Canol's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Helge Bäckström read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bedir Akbayrak in the 58th minute of play forced Sunkens Surtröjor's goalkeeper Helge Bäckström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 60th minute of the game. One of Sunkens Surtröjor:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Bir Garip Oyun:s goal. After a defensive mix-up in Bir Garip Oyun's zone, Malte Gerdberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abdulkadir Öğeturk came out of the goal and Malte Gerdberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mehmet Çağrı Aktemur kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. 78 minutes into the game, Bir Garip Oyun's Behçet Canol nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Helge Bäckström made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 90th minute of the match Enginsu Yağızkurt shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Helge Bäckström showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Abdulkadir Öğeturk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ingvar Waller, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Karl-Johan Lekberg hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Sunkens Surtröjor's Helge Bäckström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Behçet Canol in the 96th minute of play.
