The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When the match clock showed 4 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Deimantas Valys sped through Boldklubben Skjold's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cristian Romsbøge. 8 minutes into the game, Poul Reinsberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Boldklubben Skjold's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Geležinis Vilkas the free kick. Poul Reinsberg hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Tor Glarner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Romualdas Karalius tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Poul Reinsberg was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 17 minutes had been played. The supporters of Geležinis Vilkas booed when Boldklubben Skjold was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Poul Reinsberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Keld Thye kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. After having played for 30 minutes, Tor Glarner managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Boldklubben Skjold's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tor Glarner was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Boldklubben Skjold defense, Valentas Bizauskas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cristian Romsbøge. The Boldklubben Skjold fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cristian Romsbøge should have stopped the shot. 38 minutes into the match, Deimantas Valys had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cristian Romsbøge. Boldklubben Skjold's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Deimantas Valys was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Cristian Romsbøge stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Deimantas Valys's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. Cristian Romsbøge showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Deimantas Valys, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. 46 minutes into the match, Jimmi Bamberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Romualdas Karalius. Geležinis Vilkas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jimmi Bamberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

52 minutes into the match, Boldklubben Skjold's Jimmi Bamberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Romualdas Karalius narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Valentas Bizauskas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Cristian Romsbøge made a huge save. After 54 played minutes Geležinis Vilkas got a freekick which was hit by Valentas Bizauskas. Boldklubben Skjold's Cristian Romsbøge proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Boldklubben Skjold from getting a goal against them. Romualdas Karalius made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jimmi Bamberg in the 64th minute of play. In the 66th minute Deimantas Valys shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristian Romsbøge saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jimmi Bamberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romualdas Karalius having to interfere. Adomas Bacys's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cristian Romsbøge read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 73 minutes into the game, when Runar Bever put in a rough tackle. After 73 played minutes Boldklubben Skjold got a freekick which was hit by Runar Bever. Jogaila Jameikis struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Cristian Romsbøge didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Geležinis Vilkas. In the 80th minute of the game Naglis Sireikis made a throw-in which Tauras Bagūnas played forward. A throw-in in the 86th minute of the game was made by Naglis Sireikis with Faustas Mikalauskas as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Frans Ousted kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Geležinis Vilkas walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
