Seating: 1711, VIP seats: 148) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jimmi Bamberg started the match with the kick off. Norrlands Athen's Roger Kämpe got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Waldemar Perbandt hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. In the 9th match minute, Norrlands Athen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kent Backman to maneuver through the defense. Roger Kämpe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Cristian Romsbøge tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 28 minutes into the game, Vincent Molin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Norrlands Athen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Boldklubben Skjold the free kick. After 28 played minutes Norrlands Athen got a freekick which was hit by Vincent Molin. In the 30th minute Claes Valdau shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lars-Erik Wall saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Vincent Molin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Norrlands Athen booed when Boldklubben Skjold was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claes Valdau didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristian Romsbøge showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roger Kämpe in the 37th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Roger Kämpe in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristian Romsbøge prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roger Kämpe in the 43rd minute of play forced Boldklubben Skjold's goalkeeper Cristian Romsbøge to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Roger Kämpe stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Per-Erik Håkansson fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Norrlands Athen's protests and gave Per-Erik Håkansson a yellow card for diving instead. Tor Glarner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Lars-Erik Wall tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 71 played minutes Norrlands Athen got a freekick which was hit by Jörgen Norberg. A collision led to Norrlands Athen getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Axel Hägglund hit a great ball. After 73 played minutes, Boldklubben Skjold's Tor Glarner shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Lars-Erik Wall came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Boldklubben Skjold reached it. Through an outstanding action, after 77 minutes, Cristian Romsbøge successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Josef Lundhberg made in the 80th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Axel Hägglund. Boldklubben Skjold's Cristian Romsbøge proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Boldklubben Skjold from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Boldklubben Skjold booed when Norrlands Athen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kent Backman didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Tor Glarner managed to get in a good position for a shot. Boldklubben Skjold's supporters rose to their feet, but Tor Glarner was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lars-Erik Wall breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
