Spectators: 7491 (Terracing: 5619, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 149) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Alfredo Dimo kicked off to start the match. Silvio Dei made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Alfredo Dimo sent off a good shot on target. Mercado Paulista F.C's Isaias Quirze played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diego Nesor in the 9th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alfredo Dimo got free with Silvio Dei in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Silvio Dei was a little too slow when Victorino Lop got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 15th minute. The score was now 1-0. Isaias Quirze didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Diego Nesor went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Alfredo Dimo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Silvio Dei made a huge save. 28 minutes into the game, Mercado Paulista F.C's Ramon Tancredo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Silvio Dei made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Gimnasia y tiro's Silvio Dei proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Gimnasia y tiro from getting a goal against them. In the 34th minute, Mercado Paulista F.C's Ramon Tancredo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Silvio Dei. Silvio Dei yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-1. With a little luck, Gimnasia y tiro's Silvio Dei got control of the ball when Alfredo Dimo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 40th minute, Victorino Lop hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Gimnasia y tiro booed when Mercado Paulista F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Inocencio Matai didn't get a good kick on the ball. Maximiliano Urtungo hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Segundo Marin to make the kick off. Gimnasia y tiro's Silvio Dei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredo Dimo in the 57th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victorino Lop in the 58th minute of play forced Gimnasia y tiro's goalkeeper Silvio Dei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Victorino Lop's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Silvio Dei read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. Silvio Dei showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredo Dimo, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Nicolas Blai hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Ramon Tancredo took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Silvio Dei. Silvio Dei dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-1. In the 89th minute, Inocencio Matai hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 91st match minute, Mercado Paulista F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albino Asteri to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 92 minutes, Ovidio Cutberto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gimnasia y tiro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ovidio Cutberto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee ended the match the Mercado Paulista F.C players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
