In the 2nd match minute, Mercado Paulista F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Israel Santo to maneuver through the defense. Shaolin soccer's Emil Cetnar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armando Rosalio in the 8th minute of play. Gilbert Ranowiecki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isaias Quirze having to interfere. Albino Asteri was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 13 minutes into the match. After 13 played minutes Mercado Paulista F.C got a freekick which was hit by Albino Asteri. Emil Cetnar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baldomero Hernandez in the 23rd minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, Baldomero Hernandez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Emil Cetnar. Shaolin soccer's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Baldomero Hernandez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. When Juliusz Ptaszek fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Shaolin soccer's protests and gave Juliusz Ptaszek a yellow card for diving instead. Juliusz Ptaszek kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Juliusz Ptaszek received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Isaias Quirze came out and tried to block the shot, but Juliusz Ptaszek slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 30th minute. Emil Cetnar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ramon Tancredo, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. In the 39th match minute, Shaolin soccer was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tanek Ankiewicz to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

After some careless play in the Mercado Paulista F.C defense, Gilbert Ranowiecki kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Isaias Quirze. The Mercado Paulista F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Isaias Quirze should have stopped the shot. Diego Vargas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emil Cetnar having to interfere. Isaias Quirze took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dariusz Beninda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Shaolin soccer's Emil Cetnar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baldomero Hernandez in the 66th minute of play. 70 minutes into the match, Juliusz Ptaszek had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Isaias Quirze.
