Juliusz Ptaszek could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but 严南 made a huge save. Juliusz Ptaszeks short, quick shot in the 37thth minute got 严南 to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by 姜风桦 in the 41st minute of play forced Shaolin soccer's goalkeeper Emil Cetnar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emil Cetnar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 邵昆烽, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for 邵昆烽 to strike the kick off in the second half. 严南 showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juliusz Ptaszek, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute.
