Spectators: 7587 (Terracing: 5691, Seating: 1745, VIP seats: 151) Armando Rosalio made the kick off and thus started the match. After a rather tough play, Mercado Paulista F.C's Israel Santo got a free kick in the 11th minute. 14 minutes into the match, Tris Stockley notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Mercado Paulista F.C's Isaias Quirze. Isaias Quirze was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Johnny Wadham sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alfredo Dimo got free with David Bettney in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 26th minute, Richie Goacher left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Corinthians FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Alvaro Fidensio took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised David Bettney. David Bettney dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. After some careless play in the Corinthians FC defense, Armando Rosalio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of David Bettney. The Corinthians FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that David Bettney should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Mercado Paulista F.C's zone, Richie Goacher stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Isaias Quirze came out of the goal and Richie Goacher tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-2.

The wind increased when Johnny Wadham made the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the game, Armando Rosalio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. David Bettney was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Trevor Burkinshaw during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 71st minute, Diego Vargas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Armando Rosalio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but David Bettney was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. During the 75th minute of the match Trevor Burkinshaw completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Trevor Burkinshaw a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Corinthians FC's Trevor Burkinshaw got a free kick in the 76th minute. Diego Vargas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 81 minutes into the match, Corinthians FC's goal looked a bit too open when Armando Rosalio came free, but David Bettney reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tris Stockley could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Isaias Quirze made a huge save. Mercado Paulista F.C's Armando Rosalio got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. David Bettney didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alfredo Dimo went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 5-2 was the resulting score. When Tris Stockley came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Corinthians FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tris Stockley couldn't finish the play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Mercado Paulista F.C had played much better football throughout.
