Seating: 1718, VIP seats: 149) With a little luck, Brooklyn SC's Osvaldo Cadena got control of the ball when Gustaw Furlit tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Brooklyn SC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Randall Haynes hit a great ball. Ignacy Ruszczyk hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. In the 12th minute, Brooklyn SC's Len Barr seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Len Barr the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Brooklyn SC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Len Barr had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The supporters of KKS Lech Poznań booed when Brooklyn SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Len Barr didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, KKS Lech Poznań's Ignacy Ruszczyk tried to score from far away in the 13th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Boruc Praski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martin Andrade, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. In the 22nd minute, one of KKS Lech Poznań:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for KKS Lech Poznań. Jon Smith kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Randall Haynes struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Boruc Praski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brooklyn SC. In the 36th minute A.J. Spangler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Boruc Praski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 38th minute, KKS Lech Poznań's Janusz Dylla ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Osvaldo Cadena. Osvaldo Cadena yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. A.J. Spangler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Randall Haynes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The wind increased when A.J. Spangler made the kick off in the second half. Janusz Dylla took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Osvaldo Cadena. Osvaldo Cadena dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. In the 61st minute, Dominik Skikiewicz made a precise shot to the right of Osvaldo Cadena. Brooklyn SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. Osvaldo Cadena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustaw Furlit in the 64th minute of play. Boruc Praski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Randall Haynes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Brooklyn SC were awarded a corner in the 75th minute after KKS Lech Poznań's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Randall Haynes took the corner. After taking down the ball on Brooklyn SC's corner Randall Haynes fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Boruc Praski quite easily take care of the ball. After having played for 79 minutes, Martin Andrade managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brooklyn SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Martin Andrade was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Martin Andrade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boruc Praski having to interfere. Osvaldo Cadena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dominik Skikiewicz in the 82nd minute of play. Brooklyn SC's Osvaldo Cadena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustaw Furlit in the 84th minute of play. 85 minutes into the match, Brooklyn SC's goal looked a bit too open when Gustaw Furlit came free, but Osvaldo Cadena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Randall Haynes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Boruc Praski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Randall Haynes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boruc Praski having to interfere. 95 minutes into the game, Juliusz Matuch was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. KKS Lech Poznań's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Brooklyn SC the free kick.
