Spectators: 7506 (Terracing: 5630, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 150) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Janusz Zukowski took the kick off in the first half of the match. Dominik Skikiewicz struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. David Bettney didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KKS Lech Poznań. In the 7th minute, Reg Renner left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Corinthians FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. 12 minutes into the game, Corinthians FC's Richie Goacher nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Boruc Praski made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Tris Stockley could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Boruc Praski made a huge save. Leonard Wojtowicz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tris Stockley went to the cornerflag to take it. Johnny Wadham hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. In the 33rd minute, Ignacy Ruszczyk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The goalkeeper, Boruc Praski, was totally fooled by Corinthians FC's Tris Stockley, who 35 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After 42 minutes, Waldemar Malik mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the KKS Lech Poznań and the Corinthians FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 42nd minute, Waldemar Malik hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 45 minutes, Zula Niemoj managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KKS Lech Poznań's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zula Niemoj was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Johnny Wadham stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Johnny Wadham ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Boruc Praski was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. 59 minutes into the game, Tris Stockley cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Boruc Praski was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. David Bettney made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leonard Wojtowicz in the 64th minute. Boruc Praski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Johnny Wadham in the 66th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leonard Wojtowicz got free with David Bettney in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The throw-in from Harvey Crowther in the 74th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by KKS Lech Poznań's Ignacy Ruszczyk. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tris Stockley in the 82nd minute of play forced KKS Lech Poznań's goalkeeper Boruc Praski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Boruc Praski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Richie Goacher, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Johnny Wadham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Tris Stockley scored 7-0 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Boruc Praski, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Corinthians FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while KKS Lech Poznań had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
