After having played for 4 minutes, Nikos Kosmidis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AC Milan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nikos Kosmidis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 5 played minutes FC Szczucin got a freekick which was hit by Eugeniusz Lerych. After 9 minutes of play, AC Milan's Aris Kortzidis made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Miromir Cichocki was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Nikos Kosmidis came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the AC Milan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nikos Kosmidis couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andreas Tarsanas in the 14th minute of play forced FC Szczucin's goalkeeper Miromir Cichocki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to FC Szczucin getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Lech Glembin hit a great ball. Miromir Cichocki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paris Kafropoulos, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Miromir Cichocki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nikos Kosmidis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With 31 minutes on the clock, Alekos Volakis commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 32 played minutes AC Milan got a freekick which was hit by Alekos Volakis. Eugeniusz Lerych was shown his second yellow card after 33 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 34th match minute, FC Szczucin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eugeniusz Lerych to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Nikos Kosmidis put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Miromir Cichocki. Miromir Cichocki came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by AC Milan's Nikos Kosmidis. But to his dismay, Nikos Kosmidis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. If Nikos Kosmidis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, AC Milan's Nikos Bertsis got a free kick in the 46th minute. After the first half AC Milan were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nikos Kosmidis made a kick off. Miromir Cichocki was a little too slow when Nikos Kosmidis got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 55th minute. The score was now 0-5. Paris Kafropoulos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Miromir Cichocki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kostas Manouselis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 65 minutes into the match, FC Szczucin's goal looked a bit too open when Aris Kortzidis came free, but Miromir Cichocki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nikos Kosmidiss short, quick shot in the 67thth minute got Miromir Cichocki to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 69th minute Aris Kortzidis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miromir Cichocki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 71 minutes into the match, Nikos Kosmidis dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Miromir Cichocki, 0-6. When Panos Zervidis came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the AC Milan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Panos Zervidis couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in FC Szczucin's zone, Nikos Kosmidis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Miromir Cichocki came out of the goal and Nikos Kosmidis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nikos Kosmidis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Miromir Cichocki made a huge save. Panos Zervidis might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Miromir Cichocki. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Panos Zervidis ran back to his position shaking his head. Miromir Cichocki didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aris Kortzidis went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-7 was the resulting score. 86 minutes into the match, Aris Kortzidis dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Miromir Cichocki, 0-8. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aris Kortzidis in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Miromir Cichocki prevented the ball from getting in the gole. FC Szczucin's defense didn't have a chance, in the 93rd minute, when Aris Kortzidis scored to the left of an out of position Miromir Cichocki, making the score, 0-9.
