Brad Missen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Geovanni Pinho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. Glauco Negri hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Elderslie Magpies's Raleigh Dale got a free kick in the 37th minute. After 41 played minutes Elderslie Magpies got a freekick which was hit by Martin Bailey. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Armando Sampaio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Macaco F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Armando Sampaio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Corder Clubley breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eusébio de Toledo's late challenge caught a Elderslie Magpies's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eusébio de Toledo helped the player get up and apologised. Elderslie Magpies made a substitution. Dacosta Ramsay replaced Brad Missen. Macaco F.C.'s Geovanni Pinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brock Devine in the 49th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Silvério de Mendonça to strike the kick off in the second half. Corder Clubley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvério de Mendonça in the 55th minute of the match. Macaco F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Raleigh Dale was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 81st minute Armando Sampaio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Corder Clubley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvério de Mendonça in the 85th minute of play forced Elderslie Magpies's goalkeeper Corder Clubley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Elderslie Magpies's Martin Bailey got a free kick in the 87th minute. 93 minutes into the match, Silvério de Mendonça had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Corder Clubley. With a little luck, Macaco F.C.'s Geovanni Pinho got control of the ball when Ed Howard tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Macaco F.C. supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Elderslie Magpies's performance. The match ended with a win for Elderslie Magpies.
