Spectators: 7564 (Terracing: 5674, Seating: 1739, VIP seats: 151) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Otávio Valadares started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute, Raleigh Dale made a precise shot to the right of Emílio Romero. Espigão Steamrollers's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. In the 7th minute Erasmo de Godoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Corder Clubley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Corder Clubley didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Otávio Valadares went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 30th minute, Brad Missen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 41 played minutes Elderslie Magpies got a freekick which was hit by Martin Bailey. Corder Clubley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Otávio Valadares in the 47th minute of the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Brad Missen to make the kick off. Elderslie Magpies's Corder Clubley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nelsinho Lopes in the 52nd minute of play. Erasmo de Godoi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Corder Clubley made a huge save. 55 minutes into the match, Elderslie Magpies's goalkeeper Corder Clubley had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zé Carlos Paranaense. With a little luck, Elderslie Magpies's Corder Clubley got control of the ball when Otávio Valadares tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 57 minutes, Byron Osbiston mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Elderslie Magpies and the Espigão Steamrollers players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 57th match minute, Elderslie Magpies was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Byron Osbiston to maneuver through the defense. Emílio Romero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brad Missen, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Emílio Romero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raleigh Dale in the 66th minute of play. In the 68th minute, Otávio Valadares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 70 minutes into the game, Brad Missen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Elderslie Magpies's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Espigão Steamrollers the free kick. A collision led to Elderslie Magpies getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Brad Missen hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Carlos Paranaense in the 74th minute of play forced Elderslie Magpies's goalkeeper Corder Clubley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zé Carlos Paranaense blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Corder Clubley having to make a save. Elderslie Magpies's Corder Clubley proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Elderslie Magpies from getting a goal against them. In the 84th minute, Brad Missen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Raleigh Dale came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Elderslie Magpies fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raleigh Dale couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Elderslie Magpies's zone, Erasmo de Godoi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Corder Clubley came out of the goal and Erasmo de Godoi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Otávio Valadares could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Corder Clubley made a huge save. 95 minutes into the game, Brad Missen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Emílio Romero was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Elderslie Magpies were victorious despite being under pressure from Espigão Steamrollers for much of the match.
