The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Filippo Punta showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Federico Fabrizi fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Carloforte f.c.'s protests and gave Federico Fabrizi a yellow card for diving instead. In the 9th match minute, Carloforte f.c. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Federico Fabrizi to maneuver through the defense. In the 9th minute of the match Segundo Francho sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Filippo Punta skillfully saved the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ferdinando Carosella in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. Yoniyones's goal looked a bit too open when Angelo Fontana came free, but Gonzalo Oliveiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gonzalo Oliveiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Federico Fabrizi in the 17th minute of the match. 18 minutes into the game, one of Carloforte f.c.:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Filippo Punta had in the 21stth minute some difficulties stopping Segundo Francho's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 26thth minute of the game Cristo Iraitz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Carloforte f.c.'s Filippo Punta was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Carloforte f.c.'s Filippo Punta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristo Iraitz in the 27th minute of play. After 29 minutes, Alfonso Raniolo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Carloforte f.c. and the Sp. Yoniyones players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Carloforte f.c. getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Alfonso Raniolo hit a great ball. In the 35th minute, Angelo Fontana left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Carloforte f.c. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leandro Bingen in the 38th minute of play forced Carloforte f.c.'s goalkeeper Filippo Punta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yoniyones booed when Carloforte f.c. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfonso Raniolo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Angelo Fontana to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angelo Fontana in the 52nd minute of play forced Sp. Yoniyones's goalkeeper Gonzalo Oliveiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Federico Fabrizi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carloforte f.c.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Federico Fabrizi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gonzalo Oliveiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Sp. Yoniyones defense, Federico Fabrizi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gonzalo Oliveiro. The Sp. Yoniyones fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gonzalo Oliveiro should have stopped the shot. Filippo Punta made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristo Iraitz in the 61st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Sp. Yoniyones's zone, Angelo Fontana stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gonzalo Oliveiro came out of the goal and Angelo Fontana tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sp. Yoniyones's Gonzalo Oliveiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angelo Fontana in the 67th minute of play. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Carloforte f.c.'s goalkeeper Filippo Punta, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 77 minutes, Angelo Fontana managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carloforte f.c.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Angelo Fontana was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fedele Di Croce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gonzalo Oliveiro having to interfere.
