The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute, Dino Di Nucci fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. When Ramiro Cebrian fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Regresado's protests and gave Ramiro Cebrian a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Regresado's Ramiro Cebrian got a free kick in the 9th minute. Dino Di Nucci fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eustaquio Oxarra having to interfere. 15 minutes into the match, Carloforte f.c.'s Ferdinando Carosella sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eustaquio Oxarra narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, Regresado's Eustaquio Oxarra got control of the ball when Ferdinando Carosella tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 47 minutes, Amador Azubeli mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Regresado and the Carloforte f.c. players grew even worse after the yellow card.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zacarias Escobar made a kick off. In the 53rd minute Zacarias Escobar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filippo Punta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dino Di Nucci in the 58th minute of play forced Regresado's goalkeeper Eustaquio Oxarra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zacarias Escobar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 63 minutes into the match, Ferdinando Carosella notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Regresado's Eustaquio Oxarra. Eustaquio Oxarra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Carloforte f.c.'s zone, Evelio Kelemen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Filippo Punta came out of the goal and Evelio Kelemen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 80th match minute, Regresado was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amador Azubeli to maneuver through the defense. Carloforte f.c.'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 83rd minute, when Zacarias Escobar scored to the left of an out of position Filippo Punta, making the score, 1-1. Marciano Herena kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Fedele Di Croce, 90 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Regresado's zone, Dino Di Nucci stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eustaquio Oxarra came out of the goal and Dino Di Nucci tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dino Di Nucci received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Eustaquio Oxarra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eustaquio Oxarra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dino Di Nucci in the 97th minute of the match. Regresado succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Carloforte f.c. had controlled the match.
