Luisito Luzaide showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristo Iraitz in the 39th minute of the match. In the 40th minute Cristo Iraitz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luisito Luzaide saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Damaso Hechter might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gonzalo Oliveiro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Damaso Hechter ran back to his position shaking his head. 43 minutes into the match, Samuel Gorbea notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Sp. Yoniyones's Gonzalo Oliveiro. Gonzalo Oliveiro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. The audience was convinced that Damaso Hechter's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gonzalo Oliveiro was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. Luisito Luzaide showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristo Iraitz, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. A collision led to Sp. The audience thought a goal was coming when Samuel Gorbea got free with Gonzalo Oliveiro in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Samuel Gorbea could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Gonzalo Oliveiro made a huge save. Dante Vellito recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 99th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
