Spectators: 7506 (Terracing: 5630, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 150) AIF's Fabian Kråk started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Lunatics of Arianrhod booed when AIF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonas Ståhlman didn't get a good kick on the ball. AIF's Bengt Felin couldn't get a good grip on the ball when Alessandro Scrima shot the distance nicking the right pole and went into goal in the 5th minute, 1-0. Bengt Felin was a little too slow when Davide Flammini got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 9th minute. The score was now 2-0. If Fabian Kråk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 17 minutes, Otto Hamberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AIF and the Lunatics of Arianrhod players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 17 played minutes AIF got a freekick which was hit by Otto Hamberg. The supporters of AIF booed when Lunatics of Arianrhod was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enzo Rondinelli didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Lunatics of Arianrhod's zone, Fabian Kråk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Armando De Simone came out of the goal and Fabian Kråk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. AIF's Bengt Felin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save AIF from getting a goal against them. After having played for 26 minutes, Enzo Rondinelli managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lunatics of Arianrhod's supporters crossed their fingers, but Enzo Rondinelli was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 28 minutes into the game, Lunatics of Arianrhod's Adriano Giampieri nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bengt Felin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. 33 minutes into the game, Fabian Kråk cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Armando De Simone was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 39 played minutes Lunatics of Arianrhod got a freekick which was hit by Adriano Giampieri. Gert Kjellbom kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. In the 45th minute of the match Alessandro Scrima sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bengt Felin skillfully saved the ball. After 46 played minutes AIF got a freekick which was hit by Bengt-Arne Stabbe. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Davide Flammini stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Adriano Giampieri's late challenge caught a AIF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adriano Giampieri helped the player get up and apologised. Adriano Giampieri hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as AIF's Fabian Kråk slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Armando De Simone. That made the score 3-2 after 55 minutes of play. In the 62nd minute, Enzo Rondinelli got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in AIF's zone, Davide Flammini stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bengt Felin came out of the goal and Davide Flammini tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the AIF defense, Adriano Giampieri kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bengt Felin. The AIF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bengt Felin should have stopped the shot. Armando De Simone was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ingmar Brask showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-3 in the 75 minute of play. In the 78th minute, Bengt-Arne Stabbe fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. AIF's Fabian Kråk got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bengt Felin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Davide Flammini, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Dave Saturno managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lunatics of Arianrhod's supporters rose to their feet, but Dave Saturno was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bengt Felin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 90 minutes of play, Lunatics of Arianrhod's Davide Flammini made it 5-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bengt Felin was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Lunatics of Arianrhod fans cheered their team off the field, for while AIF had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
