Lee Cook started the match with the kick off. Örtomta Legends's Patrik Hagström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lee Cook in the 3rd minute of play. The supporters of Örtomta Legends booed when Barr Point was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carl Browne didn't get a good kick on the ball. 7 minutes into the game, Rune Forsberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Örtomta Legends's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Barr Point the free kick. After 7 played minutes Örtomta Legends got a freekick which was hit by Rune Forsberg. In the 12th match minute, Barr Point was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martin Blakewell to maneuver through the defense. Gaz Atkinson kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. The long shot by Kent Sjögren in the 16th minute really tested Sacha Lane's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. When Geoff Howarth fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Barr Point's protests and gave Geoff Howarth a yellow card for diving instead. In the 17th match minute, Barr Point was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geoff Howarth to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Barr Point defense, Leonard Alén kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sacha Lane. The Barr Point fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sacha Lane should have stopped the shot. Staffan Kihlberg's late challenge caught a Barr Point's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Staffan Kihlberg helped the player get up and apologised. Erik Nordström hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. If Lee Cook had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andre Monk in the 29th minute of play forced Örtomta Legends's goalkeeper Patrik Hagström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 31 minutes, Leonard Alén made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Barr Point's Sacha Lane tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Örtomta Legends's Patrik Hagström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lee Cook in the 34th minute of play. After having played for 36 minutes, Leonard Alén managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Örtomta Legends's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leonard Alén was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rune Forsberg was shown his second yellow card after 36 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Rune Forsberg hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Lee Cook received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Patrik Hagström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Barr Point's Sacha Lane got control of the ball when Leonard Alén tried to sneak it across the goal line.

Andre Monk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Patrik Hagström made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lee Cook in the 53rd minute. In the 66th minute of the match Kent Sjögren sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sacha Lane skillfully saved the ball. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Barr Point's goalkeeper Sacha Lane, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 76th minute, Örtomta Legends's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Lee Cook fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Leonard Alén fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sacha Lane having to interfere. In the 91st minute, Lee Cook left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Barr Point fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. If Lee Cook had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Barr Point's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
