Erik Nordström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without William Kenworthy having to interfere. Patrik Hagström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. William Kenworthy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonard Alén in the 10th minute of play. After having played for 12 minutes, Martyn Heslop managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carlisle United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Martyn Heslop was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 13thth minute of the game Ian Bastow who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Örtomta Legends's Rune Forsberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Carlisle United's William Kenworthy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonard Alén in the 16th minute of play. Hugh Tyson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Rune Forsberg made a huge save. William Kenworthy stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leonard Alén's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. Hugh Tyson kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. 27 minutes into the game, Hugh Tyson lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Rune Forsberg. When Martyn Heslop came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Carlisle United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Martyn Heslop couldn't finish the play. After 33 minutes, Micheal Firth mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Carlisle United and the Örtomta Legends players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 33rd match minute, Carlisle United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Micheal Firth to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hugh Tyson got free with Rune Forsberg in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Martyn Heslop received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Rune Forsberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rune Forsberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ian Bastow in the 37th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Martyn Heslop in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rune Forsberg saved Örtomta Legends from getting behind. Örtomta Legends's Rune Forsberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ian Bastow in the 41st minute of play. Martyn Heslop struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Rune Forsberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Carlisle United. Leonard Alén took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised William Kenworthy. William Kenworthy dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Örtomta Legends's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 61st minute, Leonard Alén left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Örtomta Legends fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. After 65 played minutes Örtomta Legends got a freekick which was hit by Oscar Sundström. After 66 played minutes, Carlisle United's Martyn Heslop shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rune Forsberg came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Carlisle United reached it. William Kenworthy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kent Sjögren in the 68th minute of play. Leonard Alén's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 69thth minute, William Kenworthy skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Leonard Alén who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 71stth minute tested the skills of William Kenworthy when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A hard shot 72 in the game by Leonard Alén from a close distance when the talented William Kenworthy managed to make a qualified save. Carlisle United's players were relieved. In the 80th minute, Leonard Alén hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With an all-out effort, Örtomta Legends's William Kenworthy threw himself towards the right post 82 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Leonard Alén, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Martyn Heslop sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rune Forsberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marta Kante's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. If Martyn Heslop had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 90 minutes, Martyn Heslop managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carlisle United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Martyn Heslop was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rune Forsberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ian Bastow, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. When Hugh Tyson came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Carlisle United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hugh Tyson couldn't finish the play. Despite being the better team, Carlisle United failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
