Aloísio Guimarães was a little too slow when Célio Mangueira got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 34th minute. The score was now 2-0. Ricardo Arantes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. José Paulo Sousa's late challenge caught a Red Bull Magnus's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. José Paulo Sousa helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Joinville Esporte Clube getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. José Paulo Sousa hit a great ball. Célio Mangueira in the 48thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Aloísio Guimarães, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Célio Mangueira was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Célio Mangueira in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aloísio Guimarães prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 56th minute, Falcão Antunes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alex Pereira was a little too slow when Maurinho Rosado got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 57th minute. The score was now 2-1. After a rather tough play, Joinville Esporte Clube's Hélio Furtado got a free kick in the 62nd minute. 63 minutes into the game, Maurinho Rosado was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Red Bull Magnus's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Joinville Esporte Clube the free kick. Maurinho Rosado kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Joinville Esporte Clube's Vivaldo Mattos got a free kick in the 66th minute.
