Вежен's Mito Smilevski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Вежен from getting a goal against them. Mito Smilevski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudinei Teles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Yuri Velkov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mito Smilevski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Claudinei Teles in the 13th minute. Zahari Bratoev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remo da Costa having to interfere. 17 minutes into the match, S S Palestra Italia's goal looked a bit too open when Milan Harabaliev came free, but Remo da Costa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18th minute, Zahari Bratoev hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Sava Vatrachki fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Вежен's protests and gave Sava Vatrachki a yellow card for diving instead. Sava Vatrachki hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. 0-1 became the score in the 29th minute when Zahari Bratoev elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After 32 played minutes S S Palestra Italia got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Fábio Ferreira. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zahari Bratoev in the 35th minute of play forced S S Palestra Italia's goalkeeper Remo da Costa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in S S Palestra Italia's zone, Sava Vatrachki stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Remo da Costa came out of the goal and Sava Vatrachki tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the S S Palestra Italia defense, Zahari Bratoev kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Remo da Costa. The S S Palestra Italia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Remo da Costa should have stopped the shot. In the 43rd minute Yuri Velkov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Remo da Costa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 45th match minute, Вежен was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sava Vatrachki to maneuver through the defense. Miguel Donatello, 46 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luís Paulo da Mata made a kick off. Milan Harabaliev kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. In the 72nd minute, Вежен's Milan Harabaliev dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-4. In the 74th match minute, S S Palestra Italia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rômulo Macedo to maneuver through the defense. In the 77th minute, Claudinei Teles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 81 minutes into the game, Aílton Tepedino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. S S Palestra Italia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Вежен the free kick. After a rather tough play, S S Palestra Italia's Aílton Tepedino got a free kick in the 81st minute. A long shot from Anko Katincharov in the 82nd minute of play was well struck, but Remo da Costa made a really good save at the right post. S S Palestra Italia's Remo da Costa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save S S Palestra Italia from getting a goal against them. 86 minutes into the match, Rômulo Macedo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mito Smilevski. Вежен's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rômulo Macedo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4. After 91 minutes of play, Вежен's Zahari Bratoev made it 2-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Remo da Costa was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Вежен eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
