The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Willian Siqueira during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 20th minute, Willian Siqueira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 23 minutes into the match, Gurdurão's goal looked a bit too open when Fred-Marc Richter came free, but Giuseppe Nóbrega reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Giuseppe Nóbrega showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fred-Marc Richter, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. In the 25th minute, Bruninho Novaes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Renan Cunha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Bengt-Åke Smitt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Giuseppe Nóbrega took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Calle Wanner, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Calle Wanner managed to get in a good position for a shot. Karen FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Calle Wanner was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. After 77 played minutes Gurdurão got a freekick which was hit by Renan Cunha. After having played for 81 minutes, Narciso Donatello managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gurdurão's supporters crossed their fingers, but Narciso Donatello was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Gurdurão's Leonardo Bastos got a free kick in the 84th minute. In the 86th minute Vladimir Rossi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bengt-Åke Smitt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leonardo Bastos hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. The supporters of Karen FC booed when Gurdurão was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Vítor Dionísio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gurdurão's Wilson Vianna suffered a sore thigh after 93 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Karen FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
