In the 22ndth minute of the game Fred-Marc Richter who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Deportivo el Divague's Teofilo Salbatore was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Teofilo Salbatore dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. 31 minutes into the match, Karen FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ermegildo Ramirez came free, but Bengt-Åke Smitt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 33rd minute, Mats Asklund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Karen FC were furious when Håkan Spetz was red carded, 37 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 41st minute, Calle Wanner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Calle Wanner made a kick off. Bengt-Åke Smitt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danilo Librado in the 51st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Deportivo el Divague's Domingos Gaitano got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Bengt-Åke Smitt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lisandro Lekubegi in the 59th minute of play. 60 minutes into the match, Karen FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ermegildo Ramirez came free, but Bengt-Åke Smitt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 71st minute, Bengt Bergkvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lisandro Lekubegi in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bengt-Åke Smitt saved Karen FC from getting behind. 74 minutes into the match, Karen FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lisandro Lekubegi came free, but Bengt-Åke Smitt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Karen FC's Bengt-Åke Smitt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lisandro Lekubegi in the 77th minute of play. In the 80th minute Lisandro Lekubegi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bengt-Åke Smitt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lisandro Lekubegi in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bengt-Åke Smitt prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Karen FC's Bengt-Åke Smitt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lisandro Lekubegi in the 84th minute of play. Danilo Librado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Deportivo el Divague's Danilo Librado got a free kick in the 92nd minute. In the 94th minute, Ermegildo Ramirez made a precise shot to the right of Bengt-Åke Smitt. Karen FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-4. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Karen FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
