Alonzo Domingues took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilson Vianna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Gurdurão's Baltazar Mazza got a free kick in the 16th minute. Gurdurão's Giuseppe Nóbrega played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Faustino Cordeiro in the 17th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Gurdurão's Alonzo Domingues threw himself towards the right post 22 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Narciso Donatello, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After some careless play in the Gurdurão defense, Faustino Cordeiro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Giuseppe Nóbrega. The Gurdurão fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Giuseppe Nóbrega should have stopped the shot. In the 29th minute, Wilfredo Marin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Renan Cunha could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Alonzo Domingues made a huge save. Pedro Garikoitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Narciso Tohias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Giuseppe Nóbrega tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gurdurão's Giuseppe Nóbrega played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Narciso Tohias in the 42nd minute of play. The supporters of Gurdurão booed when HFA FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgard Guillen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Renan Cunha could shoot a difficult shot in the 45th minute, which Alonzo Domingues however easily saved by the left post. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Narciso Tohias to strike the kick off in the second half. Narciso Tohias recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Wilson Vianna hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Alonzo Domingues showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilson Vianna in the 71st minute of the match. 79 minutes into the match, HFA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Wilson Vianna came free, but Alonzo Domingues reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. HFA FC's Narciso Tohias got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, HFA FC's Anacleto Favila got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Gurdurão's Wilson Vianna got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 86 minutes into the match, HFA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bruninho Novaes came free, but Alonzo Domingues reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Faustino Cordeiro came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the HFA FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Faustino Cordeiro couldn't finish the play. After 94 played minutes Gurdurão got a freekick which was hit by Narciso Donatello. The HFA FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing HFA FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
