Gurdurão's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Deportivo el Divague the free kick. Wilson Vianna hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Bruninho Novaes might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Emiliano Gimenez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bruninho Novaes ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 16th minute, Gaston Sustrai hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A sloppy throw-in by Ramon Abalos in the 17th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Gurdurão's Narciso Donatello. Hipolito Bizi might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Giuseppe Nóbrega. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hipolito Bizi ran back to his position shaking his head. Emiliano Gimenez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruninho Novaes in the 29th minute of play. Giuseppe Nóbrega made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Hipolito Bizi sent off a good shot on target. If Hipolito Bizi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Willian Siqueira during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When Wilson Vianna was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 47 minutes had been played. Wilson Vianna hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Ermegildo Ramirez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bruninho Novaes during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Hipolito Bizi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo el Divague's supporters rose to their feet, but Hipolito Bizi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Giuseppe Nóbrega breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 83 minutes of play Gurdurão's Willian Siqueira was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Willian Siqueira hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. 86 minutes into the match, Gurdurão's goal looked a bit too open when Hipolito Bizi came free, but Giuseppe Nóbrega reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emiliano Gimenez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruninho Novaes in the 89th minute of the match. Gurdurão succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Deportivo el Divague had controlled the match.
