Mateo Benvido hit a great ball. The Capibaribe Stars fans' excitement grew in the 10th match minute when Capibaribe Stars's Sandrinho Pinho looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 13 played minutes, Capibaribe Stars's Nico Penha shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Fausto Rosio came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Capibaribe Stars reached it. Fausto Rosio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sandrinho Pinho in the 14th minute of the match. When Capibaribe Stars's Oséas Luz in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Sandrinho Pinho scored 0-3 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fausto Rosio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Fausto Rosio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sandrinho Pinho in the 43rd minute of play. Fausto Rosio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luiz Paulo Tinoco went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. After the first half Capibaribe Stars were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Nemesio Remigio made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Capibaribe Stars booed when MARIANO MORENO DE JUNÍN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquin Rufio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Oséas Luz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Fausto Rosio made a huge save. Adhemar Vergílio came out of the goal and Cornelio Millrick tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 90th minute, Capibaribe Stars's Luiz Paulo Tinoco dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-6. Nemesio Remigio hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, MARIANO MORENO DE JUNÍN's Jesus Hodei got a free kick in the 95th minute. Capibaribe Stars's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
