Spectators: 7469 (Terracing: 5603, Seating: 1717, VIP seats: 149) Club Atlético de Newell's Ashley Wells started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The throw-in from Jonatan Berdaitz in the 3rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Club Atlético de Newell's Barrie Lester. In the 3rd match minute, Quitilipi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Urbano Nuñez to maneuver through the defense. Urbano Nuñez kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. In the 9th play minute Federico Insúa came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Matthew Edwards. 1-0. After a rather tough play, Quitilipi's Urbano Nuñez got a free kick in the 11th minute. In the 15th minute Ashley Wells shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guaberto Cebo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 20th minute, Quitilipi's Urbano Nuñez dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Matthew Edwards showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robustiano Clementi, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Rigoberto Clemencin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matthew Edwards having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jay Holmes in the 35th minute of play forced Quitilipi's goalkeeper Guaberto Cebo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Seb Newman during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Seb Newman hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. In the 42nd minute, Federico Insúa reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Matthew Edwards. The goal made the score 3-0. A collision led to Quitilipi getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Jairo Gartzen hit a great ball. Zackary Dixon took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 49th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Guaberto Cebo. Quitilipi's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Federico Insúa to make the kick off. In the 62nd match minute, Quitilipi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anastasio Iratxo to maneuver through the defense. Guaberto Cebo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zackary Dixon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Guaberto Cebo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ashley Wells in the 65th minute of the match. Guaberto Cebo made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Jay Holmes sent off a good shot on target. Guaberto Cebo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ashley Wells showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-1 in the 89 minute of play.
