If Afriz Hian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 16 minutes into the match, ΚΛΚΞRΘS ᴾᴵᴬᴿᴬ's Wilfredo Salomone sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Daniel Chuan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. ΚΛΚΞRΘS ᴾᴵᴬᴿᴬ were awarded a corner in the 17th minute after Albirex Niigata FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Wilfredo Salomone took the corner. Fernando Aimar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Chuan having to interfere. After 22 minutes, Wilfredo Salomone made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Albirex Niigata FC's Daniel Chuan tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 28 minutes into the match, Wilfredo Salomone had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Daniel Chuan. Albirex Niigata FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wilfredo Salomone was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Ali Ramachandran struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Cecilio Mantzio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Albirex Niigata FC. Daniel Chuan came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by ΚΛΚΞRΘS ᴾᴵᴬᴿᴬ's Fermin Oto. But to his dismay, Fermin Oto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonel Shantala in the 37th minute of play forced Albirex Niigata FC's goalkeeper Daniel Chuan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Albirex Niigata FC getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Afiz Butcher hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Astor Bero in the 41st minute of play forced Albirex Niigata FC's goalkeeper Daniel Chuan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wei Xuan Chandran took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cecilio Mantzio. Cecilio Mantzio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-4 lead.

Ali Ramachandran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Cecilio Mantzio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 61st minute, Cristian Cayo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in ΚΛΚΞRΘS ᴾᴵᴬᴿᴬ's zone, Wei Xuan Chandran stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cecilio Mantzio came out of the goal and Wei Xuan Chandran tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ali Ramachandran in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cecilio Mantzio saved ΚΛΚΞRΘS ᴾᴵᴬᴿᴬ from getting behind. When Famih Swee came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Albirex Niigata FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Famih Swee couldn't finish the play. Cecilio Mantzio came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Albirex Niigata FC's Famih Swee. But to his dismay, Famih Swee quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-5. When the match had gone on for 73 minutes, Afriz Hian put it in 3-5 from a short distance just to the right of Cecilio Mantzio. In the 88th minute Wilfredo Salomone shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Chuan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Chuan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fermin Oto's shot from short distance in the 95th minute.
