Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Capibaribe Stars's Adhemar Vergílio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Capibaribe Stars from getting a goal against them. Urbano Nuñezs short, quick shot in the 12thth minute got Adhemar Vergílio to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Guaberto Cebo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sandrinho Pinho in the 13th minute of play. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Quitilipi's goalkeeper Guaberto Cebo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 22 minutes into the game, Luiz Paulo Tinoco cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Guaberto Cebo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 29th minute, Robustiano Clementi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 31stth minute of the game Sandrinho Pinho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Quitilipi's Guaberto Cebo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Guaberto Cebo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Paulo Tinoco, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. In the 33rd match minute, Quitilipi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rigoberto Clemencin to maneuver through the defense. In the 37th minute, Sandrinho Pinho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Guaberto Cebo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 41 minutes into the match, Eliseu Toscano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Guaberto Cebo. Quitilipi's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eliseu Toscano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Luiz Paulo Tinoco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Guaberto Cebo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseu Toscano in the 47th minute of play forced Quitilipi's goalkeeper Guaberto Cebo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Oséas Luz ran back to his position shaking his head. If Sandrinho Pinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Quitilipi's Guaberto Cebo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oséas Luz in the 63rd minute of play. With his leg Guaberto Cebo managed to avoid a goal in the 65thth minute, when Capibaribe Stars's Sandrinho Pinho fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Sandrinho Pinho succeeded in the game's 75th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-4. Sandrinho Pinho's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 78thth minute, Guaberto Cebo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Sandrinho Pinho who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 96thth minute tested the skills of Guaberto Cebo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The Quitilipi fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Capibaribe Stars were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
