In the 25th minute, Burl Reeves made a precise shot to the right of Marcelo Novais. Set Fire's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. A collision led to Set Fire getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Ivó Almeida hit a great ball. Léonard Keys's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcelo Novais read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. Burl Reeves might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcelo Novais. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Burl Reeves ran back to his position shaking his head. 37 minutes into the game, Rogério Apalanga was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Set Fire's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fly T.T the free kick. After a rather tough play, Set Fire's Rogério Apalanga got a free kick in the 37th minute. Olivier Slaughter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rogério Apalanga in the 42nd minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rogério Apalanga was the one to do the kick off. Rogério Apalanga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Olivier Slaughter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Rogério Apalanga was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 58 minutes had been played. Rogério Apalanga hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Marcelo Novais showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Burl Reeves in the 61st minute of the match. A collision led to Set Fire getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Ivó Almeida hit a great ball. Miguel Gonçalves could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Olivier Slaughter made a huge save. Simão Quilempan made in the 95th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Neide De Matos however managed to control. Raymond Hartman's late challenge caught a Set Fire's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Raymond Hartman helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 96th minute of the game. One of Fly T.T:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Set Fire:s goal. In the 98th minute there was a penalty for Set Fire. Miguel Gonçalves stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Olivier Slaughter. 1-1.
