Spectators: 7550 (Terracing: 5664, Seating: 1736, VIP seats: 150) SLB TELHA's Lourenço Balsemão started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Astor Chago's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but André Azenha read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. Fernando Cisco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lourenço Balsemão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 9 minutes into the match, Vipos FC's Modesto Marino sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that André Azenha narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 12th minute Diamantino Ferreira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Cisco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fernando Cisco stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Diamantino Ferreira's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. 17 minutes into the match, Vipos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Diamantino Ferreira came free, but Fernando Cisco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 19 minutes into the game, Murilo Pinto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SLB TELHA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vipos FC the free kick. Murilo Pinto kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lourenço Balsemão in the 22nd minute of play forced Vipos FC's goalkeeper Fernando Cisco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vipos FC's Fernando Cisco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diamantino Ferreira in the 23rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, SLB TELHA's Diogo Guterres got a free kick in the 30th minute. Zeferino Figueira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Fernando Cisco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fernando Cisco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Murilo Pinto, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. 35 minutes into the match, Lourenço Balsemão notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Vipos FC's Fernando Cisco. Fernando Cisco was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a little luck, SLB TELHA's André Azenha got control of the ball when Siro Intxixu tried to sneak it across the goal line. André Azenha was a little too slow when Modesto Marino got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 46th minute. The score was now 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Astor Chago to make the kick off. Fernando Cisco made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Lourenço Balsemão sent off a good shot on target. 60 minutes into the match, Murilo Pinto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fernando Cisco. Vipos FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Murilo Pinto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. 1-4 became the score in the 63rd minute when Lourenço Balsemão elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The supporters of SLB TELHA booed when Vipos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Julio Ovando didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in SLB TELHA's zone, Modesto Marino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. André Azenha came out of the goal and Modesto Marino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lourenço Balsemão in the 78th minute of play forced Vipos FC's goalkeeper Fernando Cisco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fernando Cisco made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lourenço Balsemão in the 89th minute. SLB TELHA's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
