The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 7 minutes, Murilo Pinto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SLB TELHA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Murilo Pinto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Lourenço Balsemão kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Almir Cruz. That made the score 2-0 in the 16 minute of play. In the 19th minute, Joel de Senna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Murilo Pinto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lourenço Balsemão in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Almir Cruz saved Zemantauskas FC from getting behind. Zemantauskas FC's attentive Téo Luz managed to snatch the ball when Edgar Araújo made a throw-in in the 24th minute of the game. Almir Cruz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lourenço Balsemão in the 31st minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Murilo Pinto took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Almir Cruz to make any attempt to save it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lourenço Balsemão got free with Almir Cruz in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 36 minutes into the match, SLB TELHA's goal looked a bit too open when Joel de Senna came free, but André Azenha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Lourenço Balsemão's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Almir Cruz was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

After a rather tough play, Zemantauskas FC's Amílton Ferreira got a free kick in the 60th minute. In the 62nd minute Lourenço Balsemão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Almir Cruz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 66th minute of the game. One of Zemantauskas FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of SLB TELHA:s goal. In the 67th minute there was a penalty for SLB TELHA. Lázaro Tomé stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Almir Cruz. 4-0. A collision led to Zemantauskas FC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Amílton Ferreira hit a great ball. The supporters of Zemantauskas FC booed when SLB TELHA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgar Araújo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The SLB TELHA fans' excitement grew in the 77th match minute when SLB TELHA's Lourenço Balsemão looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After having played for 80 minutes, Diamantino Ferreira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SLB TELHA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Diamantino Ferreira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Almir Cruz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lourenço Balsemão, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. After a rather tough play, Zemantauskas FC's Amílton Ferreira got a free kick in the 90th minute. Lourenço Balsemão took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Almir Cruz. Almir Cruz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. Almir Cruz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lourenço Balsemão, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. In the 98th minute, Murilo Pinto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 98 minutes into the match, Lourenço Balsemão had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Almir Cruz. Zemantauskas FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lourenço Balsemão was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. SLB TELHA's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
