The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Bautista Bausa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fernando Cisco. Vipos FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bautista Bausa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. When Ajax Colombiano's Bautista Bausa in the 7th minute got a chance for a shot 7th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Vipos FC's goalie prevented a goal. If Astor Chago had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fernando Cisco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bautista Bausa in the 17th minute of play. 19 minutes into the game, Ajax Colombiano's Bautista Bausa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fernando Cisco made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. 24 minutes into the match, Vipos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Matias Zuñiga came free, but Fernando Cisco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Siro Intxixu fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vipos FC's protests and gave Siro Intxixu a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Vipos FC's Siro Intxixu got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Vipos FC's Fernando Cisco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bautista Bausa in the 38th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Vipos FC's Melchor Txindoki got a free kick in the 41st minute. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ajax Colombiano fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 42nd minute. Penalty! Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Astor Chago made the kick off in the second half. Ajax Colombiano made a substitution. Bonifacio Perera replaced Xavier Landeros. Melchor Txindoki hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. In the 55th minute of the match Mitxaut Matias shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fernando Cisco showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Melchor Txindoki was shown his second yellow card after 58 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 59 played minutes Vipos FC got a freekick which was hit by Melchor Txindoki. In the 59th minute, Mitxaut Matias got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Matias Zuñiga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 66th minute, Modesto Marino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ajax Colombiano's Mancio Arana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Siro Intxixu in the 68th minute of play. In the 70th minute, Modesto Marino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mancio Arana was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mitxaut Matias in the 79th minute of play forced Vipos FC's goalkeeper Fernando Cisco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Vipos FC's Julio Ovando got a free kick in the 80th minute. Mitxaut Matias struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Fernando Cisco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ajax Colombiano. When Modesto Marino fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vipos FC's protests and gave Modesto Marino a yellow card for diving instead. Bautista Bausa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Fernando Cisco made a huge save. The Ajax Colombiano supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Ajax Colombiano would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
