Zavier Prenafeta dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Mercurio Miquel charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mercurio Miquel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Mercurio Miquel hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. A collision led to Polar Ice Caps getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Michael Lundström hit a great ball. In the 21st minute of the match, Bruno Sologuren tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Bengt Holmberg saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Mercurio Miquel scored 1-1 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bengt Holmberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Bengt Holmberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eriberto Pincheira, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Ernst Tingelholm hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice moves Mercurio Miquel could shoot a difficult shot in the 37th minute, which Bengt Holmberg however easily saved by the left post. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

After 50 played minutes Cobresal got a freekick which was hit by Eriberto Pincheira. After 63 played minutes Cobresal got a freekick which was hit by Lester Sanfuentes. Zavier Prenafeta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ingemar Eckegren, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruno Sologuren in the 73rd minute of play forced Polar Ice Caps's goalkeeper Bengt Holmberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ernst Tingelholm kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. In the 76th minute of the match Ermegildo Marsano shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bengt Holmberg showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Cobresal's Eduardo Mackenzie got a free kick in the 78th minute. 81 minutes into the match, Polar Ice Caps's goal looked a bit too open when Mercurio Miquel came free, but Bengt Holmberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
