The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Polar Ice Caps getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Michael Lundström hit a great ball. Wolf-Jürgen von Buol-Schaudenstein received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Lyubcho Ruychev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bengt Holmberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angel Vardarov in the 12th minute of play. A collision led to VN Keleler getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Sergey Munev hit a great ball. Georg Borre hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Lyubcho Ruychev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wolf-Jürgen von Buol-Schaudenstein, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 23rd minute, Georg Borre left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Polar Ice Caps fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. After 26 played minutes Polar Ice Caps got a freekick which was hit by Ingemar Eckegren. Bengt Holmberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emil Balakchiev in the 28th minute of play. Ingemar Eckegren kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. A collision led to Polar Ice Caps getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Markus Lundström hit a great ball. In the 46th minute Emil Balakchiev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bengt Holmberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Pär Sandström hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Emil Balakchiev's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 65thth minute, Bengt Holmberg skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. With a little luck, Polar Ice Caps's Bengt Holmberg got control of the ball when Emil Balakchiev tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Peder Ahlkvist during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 76th minute, Angel Vardarov reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Bengt Holmberg. The goal made the score 1-1. Sergey Munev scored 1-2 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bengt Holmberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Polar Ice Caps's defense didn't have a chance, in the 88th minute, when Angel Vardarov scored to the left of an out of position Bengt Holmberg, making the score, 1-3. Ingemar Eckegren might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lyubcho Ruychev. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ingemar Eckegren ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 94thth minute of the game Angel Vardarov who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Polar Ice Caps's Bengt Holmberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 97th minute, VN Keleler's Angel Vardarov dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-4.
