In the 20th minute, Nicasio Calvet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nicolas Simões fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laureano Gonza having to interfere. Nicolas Simões blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Laureano Gonza having to make a save. Halcones Azules's Laureano Gonza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicolas Simões in the 27th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Conrado Abajas to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 55 minutes, Conrado Abajas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Halcones Azules's supporters crossed their fingers, but Conrado Abajas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Luiz Fabiano Tasso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Halcones Azules's Conrado Abajas in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Halcones Azules made a substitution. Cristobal Bertin replaced Conrado Abajas. In the 90thth minute of the game Nicolas Simões who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Halcones Azules's Laureano Gonza was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Faustão Carneiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
