But to his dismay, Clinton Starnes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 8 minutes into the match, Clinton Starnes notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of ERGOTELIS's Panagiotis Kastanis. Panagiotis Kastanis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Panagiotis Kastanis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Clinton Starnes in the 14th minute of the match. If Clinton Starnes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Clinton Starnes hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Odell McPherson might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Panagiotis Kastanis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Odell McPherson ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 36th match minute, ERGOTELIS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thomas Theocharis to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of ERGOTELIS booed when S.D. Bajen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clinton Starnes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in ERGOTELIS's zone, Odell McPherson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Panagiotis Kastanis came out of the goal and Odell McPherson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With an all-out effort, ERGOTELIS's Mohammed Cagle threw himself towards the right post 45 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Dimitris Krasakis, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 46 minutes, Thanasis Rizos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ERGOTELIS and the S.D. Bajen players grew even worse after the yellow card. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Odell McPherson made a kick off. ERGOTELIS's Panagiotis Kastanis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save ERGOTELIS from getting a goal against them. Mohammed Cagle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dimitris Krasakis in the 54th minute of the match. Panagiotis Kastanis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Odell McPherson in the 67th minute of play. In the 68th match minute, ERGOTELIS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nikos Kontosoros to maneuver through the defense. ERGOTELIS's defense didn't have a chance, in the 73rd minute, when Clinton Starnes scored to the left of an out of position Panagiotis Kastanis, making the score, 0-6. A collision led to ERGOTELIS getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Vaggelis Tsigounakis hit a great ball. 85 minutes into the match, Brickeen Wall had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Panagiotis Kastanis. ERGOTELIS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Brickeen Wall was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-7. In the 92nd minute, Clinton Starnes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. S.D. Bajen walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
