With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vaggelis Tsigounakis in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ademar Leme saved Jardim Botânico from getting behind. Daniil Vardakas kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-2. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Vaggelis Tsigounakis made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Jardim Botânico's goal looked a bit too open when Vaggelis Tsigounakis came free, but Ademar Leme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 85thth minute of the game Vaggelis Tsigounakis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jardim Botânico's Ademar Leme was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Serginho Hoffmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Panagiotis Kastanis having to interfere. Ademar Leme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vaggelis Tsigounakis in the 92nd minute of play. Vladimir Almeida might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Panagiotis Kastanis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vladimir Almeida ran back to his position shaking his head.
