The audience thought a goal was coming when Lapurdi Collazo got free with Gustav Vorster in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gilliam Roelandts stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Lapurdi Collazo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gustav Vorster was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. Burutzagi Romero came out of the goal and Artur Van De Wijngaert tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 79th minute, Orlanda Zumiel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Telmo Castejon came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the CD Municipal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Telmo Castejon couldn't finish the play. In the 92ndth minute of the game Lapurdi Collazo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Limburg United's Gustav Vorster was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 94th minute, Lapurdi Collazo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. CD Municipal had played much better football throughout.
