In the 9th match minute, CD Municipal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaztea Rubin to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to ERGOTELIS getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Thomas Theocharis hit a great ball. Ponciano Bobis kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. After 20 played minutes CD Municipal got a freekick which was hit by Telmo Castejon. In the 23rd match minute, CD Municipal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Orlanda Zumiel to maneuver through the defense. If Dimitris Krasakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 30 minutes into the match, Vaggelis Tsigounakis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Burutzagi Romero. CD Municipal's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vaggelis Tsigounakis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After 34 played minutes CD Municipal got a freekick which was hit by Lapurdi Collazo. The supporters of CD Municipal booed when ERGOTELIS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thomas Theocharis didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lapurdi Collazo to strike the kick off in the second half. Dimitris Krasakis struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Burutzagi Romero didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ERGOTELIS. A collision led to CD Municipal getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Kemen Zalon hit a great ball. With a little luck, CD Municipal's Burutzagi Romero got control of the ball when Nikos Kontosoros tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nikos Kontosoros could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Burutzagi Romero made a huge save. After having played for 68 minutes, Vaggelis Tsigounakis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ERGOTELIS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vaggelis Tsigounakis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dimitris Krasakis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Burutzagi Romero having to interfere. In the 81st minute Lapurdi Collazo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Panagiotis Kastanis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 83 minutes of play, CD Municipal's Telmo Castejon made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Panagiotis Kastanis was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ponciano Bobis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
