After 23 minutes of play, Jardim Botânico's Gonçalo Valle made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gustav Vorster was left in no man's land by his defense there! Noel França sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 30th minute of the game, Gilliam Roelandts landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Gustav Vorster came out of the goal and Vladimir Almeida tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vladimir Almeida to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diederik Huijberechts in the 51st minute of play forced Jardim Botânico's goalkeeper Ademar Leme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vladimir Almeida in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gustav Vorster prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gustav Vorster showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vladimir Almeida in the 57th minute of the match. Frans Machiels could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Ademar Leme made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Vladimir Almeida managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jardim Botânico's supporters rose to their feet, but Vladimir Almeida was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
