The supporters of Jardim Botânico booed when CD Municipal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Montxo Avecilla didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 8thth minute of the game Vladimir Almeida who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CD Municipal's Burutzagi Romero was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 9 minutes into the game, Ponciano Bobis recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ademar Leme. Ponciano Bobis showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. With his leg Ademar Leme managed to avoid a goal in the 13thth minute, when CD Municipal's Lapurdi Collazo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The audience was convinced that Lapurdi Collazo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ademar Leme was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. 19 minutes into the game, Vladimir Almeida cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Burutzagi Romero was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 41st match minute, CD Municipal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lapurdi Collazo to maneuver through the defense. 44 minutes into the game, Gaztea Rubin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CD Municipal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jardim Botânico the free kick. Gaztea Rubin kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lapurdi Collazo made a kick off. When Ruy Dante fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jardim Botânico's protests and gave Ruy Dante a yellow card for diving instead. Ruy Dante hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. The CD Municipal fans' excitement grew in the 61st match minute when CD Municipal's Lapurdi Collazo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 68th minute of the match Gaztea Rubin shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ademar Leme showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 70th match minute, CD Municipal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Montxo Avecilla to maneuver through the defense. In the 75th minute, Lapurdi Collazo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Márcio Cruz kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. After 78 played minutes CD Municipal got a freekick which was hit by Kemen Zalon. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vladimir Almeida got free with Burutzagi Romero in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ponciano Bobis kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. In the 88th minute Lapurdi Collazo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ademar Leme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ademar Leme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaztea Rubin in the 89th minute of the match.
