Harold Breugel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aloísio Leitão in the 4th minute of play. The supporters of Pannekoeken booed when PLURAL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. António Ferreira didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 10 minutes of play, Pannekoeken's Martien Crans made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jorge Boaventura was left in no man's land by his defense there! Caio Caiado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arno Zonneveld in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jorge Boaventura saved PLURAL from getting behind. 17 minutes had been played when some careless play by PLURAL's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Stephan Overmars was slow to take the kick. During this time Pannekoeken's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Pannekoeken's Stephan Overmars to fire away a dangerous shot which Jorge Boaventura despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 19th minute Caio Caiado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Harold Breugel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 19th match minute, Pannekoeken was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mathias Traa to maneuver through the defense. Aloísio Leitão hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. PLURAL's Jorge Boaventura played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stephan Overmars in the 22nd minute of play. The PLURAL fans' excitement grew in the 24th match minute when PLURAL's Caio Caiado looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Arno Zonneveld's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 27thth minute, Jorge Boaventura skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 29th match minute, Pannekoeken was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oliver Kruit to maneuver through the defense. Arno Zonneveld received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jorge Boaventura came out and tried to block the shot, but Arno Zonneveld slotted it home off the left post making it 3-1 in the 44th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arno Zonneveld to make the kick off. Arno Zonneveld succeeded in the game's 52nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 4-1. Jorge Boaventura showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stephan Overmars, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Jorge Boaventura made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arno Zonneveld in the 63rd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Arno Zonneveld's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jorge Boaventura was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. After having played for 69 minutes, Caio Caiado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PLURAL's supporters crossed their fingers, but Caio Caiado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sandro Mafra charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sandro Mafra the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 74th match minute, PLURAL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sandro Mafra to maneuver through the defense. Arno Zonneveld fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Boaventura having to interfere. In the 80th minute, António Ferreira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of PLURAL booed when Pannekoeken was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martijn Winters didn't get a good kick on the ball. António Ferreira's late challenge caught a Pannekoeken's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. António Ferreira helped the player get up and apologised. In the 89th match minute, PLURAL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by António Ferreira to maneuver through the defense. In the 94th minute, Caio Caiado reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Harold Breugel. The goal made the score 4-3. PLURAL's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
