In the 21st minute, Denílson Vidal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Honrio Moñiz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hamílton Terra in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Honrio Moñiz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ildefonso Cuello could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Gabriel Medeiros made a huge save. Real Unión CF's Honrio Moñiz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Denílson Vidal in the 30th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Hamílton Terra put it in 0-5 from a short distance just to the right of Honrio Moñiz. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Hamílton Terra managed to get in a good position for a shot. VARGINHA FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Hamílton Terra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Honrio Moñiz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Honrio Moñiz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Denílson Vidal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 37 minutes into the game, Iliana Vielva was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Real Unión CF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave VARGINHA FC the free kick. A collision led to Real Unión CF getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Iliana Vielva hit a great ball. In the 40th minute Denílson Vidal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Honrio Moñiz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Honrio Moñiz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Denílson Vidal went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. Honrio Moñiz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hamílton Terra in the 47th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-6 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Iliana Vielva made a kick off. Hamílton Terra didn't get a good kick on the ball. 57 minutes into the match, Real Unión CF's goalkeeper Honrio Moñiz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Denílson Vidal. Hamílton Terra got his second yellow card in the match during the 60th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Hamílton Terra hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Ildefonso Cuello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Denílson Vidal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 67th match minute, VARGINHA FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aírton Maciel to maneuver through the defense. Denílson Vidal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Honrio Moñiz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aírton Maciel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Denílson Vidal got free with Honrio Moñiz in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gustavo Rocha lost his temper 88 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. If Denílson Vidal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the final whistle sounded VARGINHA FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Real Unión CF.
