After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Caio Caiado managed to get in a good position for a shot. PLURAL's supporters rose to their feet, but Caio Caiado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gabriel Medeiros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 15 minutes into the match, Denílson Vidal had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jorge Boaventura. PLURAL's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Denílson Vidal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Jorge Boaventura made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Denílson Vidal in the 18th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Aírton Maciel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Caio Caiado scored 1-1 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gabriel Medeiros, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gabriel Medeiros made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristóvão Ramires in the 24th minute. Hamílton Terra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leandro Falcão's late challenge caught a VARGINHA FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leandro Falcão helped the player get up and apologised. Leandro Falcão kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Denílson Vidal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jorge Boaventura having to make a save. Jorge Boaventura stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hamílton Terra's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. Hamílton Terra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Caio Caiado struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Gabriel Medeiros didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PLURAL. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Caio Caiado in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gabriel Medeiros saved VARGINHA FC from getting behind. PLURAL's Jorge Boaventura played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Denílson Vidal in the 44th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in PLURAL's zone, Cido Paraense stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jorge Boaventura came out of the goal and Cido Paraense tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Caio Caiado to make the kick off. Gustavo Rocha kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. 57 minutes into the match, VARGINHA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rui Caldeira came free, but Gabriel Medeiros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 65 played minutes VARGINHA FC got a freekick which was hit by Gustavo Rocha. Gabriel Medeiros stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Caio Caiado's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. If Hamílton Terra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 77 minutes, Válbson da Costa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the VARGINHA FC and the PLURAL players grew even worse after the yellow card. Caio Caiado scored 2-2 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gabriel Medeiros, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. During the 82nd minute of the match Válbson da Costa completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Válbson da Costa a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, VARGINHA FC's Válbson da Costa got a free kick in the 82nd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luís Guilherme Neves during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Hamílton Terra hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Sandro Mafra's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gabriel Medeiros read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. Aírton Maciel's late challenge caught a PLURAL's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aírton Maciel helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of PLURAL booed when VARGINHA FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aírton Maciel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
