Guillen Mijangos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Jurassic Monsters SA's Caco da Rocha slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Guillen Mijangos. That made the score 1-0 after 10 minutes of play. 15 minutes into the match, Argi Rionda had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lucas Pirani. Jurassic Monsters SA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Argi Rionda was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Berriotxoa Novo charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Berriotxoa Novo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Universitario getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Berriotxoa Novo hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Magno Velasco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Guillen Mijangos was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. When Caco da Rocha came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Jurassic Monsters SA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Caco da Rocha couldn't finish the play. If Vidal Cantabrana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 37 played minutes Jurassic Monsters SA got a freekick which was hit by Caco da Rocha. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wiliam Alvarenga got free with Guillen Mijangos in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the Universitario defense, Magno Velasco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Guillen Mijangos. The Universitario fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Guillen Mijangos should have stopped the shot. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Magno Velasco made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Magno Velasco notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Universitario's Guillen Mijangos. Guillen Mijangos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 55th match minute, Jurassic Monsters SA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Caco da Rocha to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Magno Velasco during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 66 played minutes Jurassic Monsters SA got a freekick which was hit by Magno Velasco. Jurassic Monsters SA's Lucas Pirani proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Jurassic Monsters SA from getting a goal against them. 73 minutes into the match, Universitario's goal looked a bit too open when Caco da Rocha came free, but Guillen Mijangos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 97th minute, Oswaldo Guedes sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Universitario's Guillen Mijangos didn't even have to move.
