Spectators: 7533 (Terracing: 5651, Seating: 1732, VIP seats: 150) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Vidal Cantabrana made the kick off which started today's match. Vidal Cantabrana might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arrigo Del Grosso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vidal Cantabrana ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Duri come il marmo booed when Universitario was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Restu Pineda didn't get a good kick on the ball. Frank Rago scored 0-1 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Guillen Mijangos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Arrigo Del Grosso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Argi Rionda, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. After a rather tough play, Duri come il marmo's Ferruccio Ascani got a free kick in the 20th minute. Arrigo Del Grosso acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 21st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Nesor Ennecon. Guillen Mijangos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Frank Rago went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. 29 minutes into the match, Universitario's goal looked a bit too open when Ferruccio Ascani came free, but Guillen Mijangos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Garcia Dalaje hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Guillen Mijangos came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Duri come il marmo's Fortunato Malvezzi. But to his dismay, Fortunato Malvezzi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferruccio Ascani in the 36th minute of play forced Universitario's goalkeeper Guillen Mijangos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 40th match minute, Duri come il marmo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fortunato Malvezzi to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Duri come il marmo's zone, Karlo Gavilanes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arrigo Del Grosso came out of the goal and Karlo Gavilanes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Guillen Mijangos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank Rago in the 46th minute of the match. 47 minutes into the game, Duri come il marmo's Arturo Ferraro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Guillen Mijangos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. After the first half Duri come il marmo were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Universitario's Guillen Mijangos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Universitario from getting a goal against them. With 58 minutes on the clock, Garcia Dalaje commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 58th match minute, Universitario was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Garcia Dalaje to maneuver through the defense. Arturo Ferraro scored 0-5 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Guillen Mijangos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 63 minutes into the match, Fortunato Malvezzi dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Guillen Mijangos, 0-6. 68 minutes into the match, Arturo Ferraro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Guillen Mijangos. Universitario's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arturo Ferraro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-7. After 77 played minutes Universitario got a freekick which was hit by Edwardo Ruete. Guillen Mijangos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emiliano Pietrantoni in the 79th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Frank Rago got free with Guillen Mijangos in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 84 played minutes Universitario got a freekick which was hit by Bonifacio Echarriza. Guillen Mijangos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fortunato Malvezzi in the 89th minute of play. In the 90th match minute, Duri come il marmo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ferdinando Napoleone to maneuver through the defense. Duri come il marmo played a much better game than Universitario and deserved their victory. The Universitario players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
